Nobody Flashes Old Rock Stars

Nobody Flashes: After watching Cairo burn all morning...I needed a break.
How about you?

Someone sent me this today. It's especially funny if you have ever been in the music business (as I have) Believe it or not, I have sung almost all of these songs in bars...and I'm thinking about maybe posting some changes to lyrics of my own. It just looks too fun! Someday....

Enjoy!

Cairo burning? Who gives a damn.

I have been watching Queensland deal with disaster on a scale that makes Katrina look like a showery day.

And what a fabulous job they are doing.

Devastation all around and not a gripe; not a finger pointed at anyone; just thousands of ordinary Ozzies pulling together.

An area the size of Europe flooded one week followed by a level 5 hurricane (we call them 'Cyclones' here) the next.

And are the Queenslanders daunted? Are they whining?

By the Lord Harry, it makes me proud to be Australian.

Excuse me.

I should have said something about the vid.

Yep, I would like to hear your words. You could do a fine Julie Andrews - 'The sheets are alive with the sound of meuslie'.

How about The GREAT Janis Joplin - "Winterrrrrrrrtahm, and the living ain't easy, bones are creeeeeakin' and the stairs can't be climbed'....

And wossername 'Fevah ! in the morning, and panadol at evenin' time.'

Yeah...the Aussies suffer tremendous damage, and nobody cares.

You know they gave only 5 seconds of a report on that terrible mess.

Just goes to show...Oh...by the way..love that Janis!
